This time of year we’re all in that Halloween/Fall Festival mode. Everywhere you look there are bats, pumpkins, ghosts and an assortment of spooky creatures lurking about. They don’t scare us.

Thursdays scare us.

We have 6o –120 middle school students here every Thursday. They get to learn about archery, fishing, outdoor cooking, orienteering, South Dakota wildlife and more. It keeps us on our toes!

They bring a lot of lunch bags with them! These are hungry kids!

There’s not much scarier than a bus load of kids pulling up to the door. Once we get them settled in the theatre for an introduction to their activities we breathe a little easier. They’re not the scary little monsters we worry about each week. They’re great kids who want to learn more about our outdoor heritage in South Dakota!

I think that it is totally awesome how you educate/involve the kids into the nature scene.
